Husqvarna strengthens commitment to women’s golf with new partnership
Robotic revolution: Husqvarna to power turf innovation at Women’s Australian Open and Australian WPGA Championship.

Husqvarna, the global leader in robotic lawn mowing, has signed on as an Official Partner of Australia’s two premier women’s golf events in 2026, headlined by major champions Minjee Lee and Grace Kim.
The brand will activate both on and off the course across back-to-back weeks of elite competition — the 2026 Women’s Australian Open at Kooyonga Golf Club in South Australia (March 12–15) and the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship at Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club in Queensland (March 19–22).
The partnership builds on Husqvarna’s recent appointment as Title Partner of the Husqvarna British Masters and further strengthens its growing commitment to professional golf worldwide.
The 2026 Women’s Australian Open will mark a milestone for Australian golf, becoming the first championship event in the country to utilise Husqvarna robotic lawn mowers in tournament preparation.
Working alongside Kooyonga’s greenkeeping team, the technology will help deliver championship-ready playing surfaces while showcasing innovation in turf management.
Husqvarna robotic mowers are already in use at more than 1,700 golf courses globally, allowing course teams to focus on precision preparation while maintaining consistent, world-class conditions.
Off the course, Husqvarna will enhance the spectator experience at both tournaments with interactive fan activations, including live robotic mower demonstrations throughout tournament week.
Golf Australia and PGA of Australia Chief Commercial Officer Michael McDonald said Husqvarna’s global investment in professional golf made the company a natural fit for Australia’s leading women’s events.
“Husqvarna’s partnership is a strong endorsement of women’s golf in Australia and the continued growth of our major tournaments,” he said. “It also highlights how innovation can help shape the future of the game.”
Husqvarna Vice President Sales and Services – Pacific Region and Managing Director Australia, Pauline Nilsson, said extending the brand’s golf presence to Australia was a natural next step.
“Following our announcement as Title Partner of the Husqvarna British Masters, we’re thrilled to expand our commitment to golf in Australia,” Nilsson said.
“With robotic mowing gaining momentum across Australian homes and commercial turf, bringing this technology to elite women’s golf as an Australian first feels like the perfect fit.”
Australian star and Husqvarna ambassador Grace Kim welcomed the partnership.
“I’m thrilled to continue working with Husqvarna and to see their robotic mowers supporting the Kooyonga greenkeeping team at the Australian Women’s Open,” Kim said.
“I’ve seen this technology in action in Europe and here in Australia — the results speak for themselves.”
