How much MONEY did each player win at BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth?

Billy Horschel secured his first European Tour title and Rolex Series event by winning the BMA PGA Championship, a victory that he ranks as high as winning the Players Championship.

The American watched the event on television as a child and fell in love with Wentworth when he finished in the top five on his debut two years ago.

On a competitive and exciting day at Virginia Water, Horschel looked very strong all day and he carded a 7-under-par 65, including an important birdie at the 18th hole, to reach 19-under-par.

Kiradech Aphibarnrat was also in formidable form too and after making two birdies and an eagle on his back nine, he made a critical bogey on the 17th hole to fall back to 18-under-par.

He finished in a tie for second alongside Laurie Canter and Ryder Cup hero Jamie Donaldson, and it was this famous trophy that was the talk of the terraces at Wentworth.

Lee Westwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, Tyrrell Hatton and Bernd Wiesberger qualified for the European side, while captain Padraig Harrington chose Ian Poulter, Sergio Garcia and Shane Lowry as his captain's picks.
