Despite tensions arising between DP World Tour players and LIV Golf rebels at Wentworth, many of the participants at this week's BMW PGA Championship have played down the conflict.

Billy Horschel maintained he was still amiable with the likes of Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Graeme McDowell, while Poulter reiterated he still has friendships with those who have differing stances on the LIV Golf saga.

It was Horschel and Poulter who were involved in an intriguing video on Wednesday afternoon, appearing to have a heated debate on the putting green at Wentworth.

As much as we can all guess what was being discussed between the passionate pair, we don't know what was said. Well, the Englishman has decided to add some voiceover to the footage to defuse the situation.

"Billy, we spoke about this - Listen, listen. You're not that good looking, Mr Ralph pin-up boy!" Poulter says to the American. Horschel continues to call Poulter "Rod Stewart."

"Don’t always believe what you read or hear in the media," the 46-year-old commented on his tweet.

In a week that has been dominated once again by headlines created by the LIV Golf Series, Poulter has shed some rare comical light. When he teed off in the first round of the DP World Tour's flagship event on Thursday, he received a mixture of boos and cheers.

He is one of 18 LIV Golf players teeing it up at Wentworth this week, despite the withdrawal of Martin Kaymer who didn't feel welcome when the tour said LIV players weren't needed in the Wednesday Pro-Am. Sergio Garcia has also withdrawn.

Horschel has been one of the most outspoken PGA Tour players in the LIV saga. On Tuesday, he described them as hypocrites and believes they shouldn't be at the Rolex Series event.

However, similar to the opinion of Jon Rahm, Horschel made an exception for the LIV players who are also European stalwarts. This would include the likes of Poulter, Westwood and McDowell.
