Because consistency on the greens needn't cost the earth.

Best Affordable Putters 2026

With the possible exception of the driver, putters have crept up in price more than any other golf club in the last few years.

With the advent of ultra-premium brands, artisan putter workshops and the zero-torque revolution, a high-end putter can now fetch upwards of £500 before premium components are even factored in – a prohibitive cost for many golfers.

The good news is that for beginners and golfers on a budget, there are still plenty of affordable golf putters out there on the market, with even the most premium brands offering more accessible ranges that deliver high-end performance and feel without the crazy price tag.

Sure, you won't find any L.A.Bs or Scotty Camerons on this list, but we've tested every one of these cheap putter options to make sure they're up to the standards of even the most discerning golfers. Here are our favourites for 2026.

Wilson Infinite ZT

RRP: £229

Key features:

  • Zero torque forgiveness
  • Double-milled face for premium feel
  • Black anti-glare finish with premium oversized grip

Having already found acclaim with its new Staff Model forged irons to start the year, Wilson has become the latest brand to hop on board the zero torque putter bandwagon, updating their milled Infinite range with a line of ZT options (appropriately labeled the ZT Infinite).

The big point of difference, however, is the price. The Wilson ZT Infinite has an RRP of £229, but will hit most store shelves at £199.

The ZT Infinite line-up consists of two shapes to begin with: the 606, which is a larger mallet shape akin to a TaylorMade 5K Spider ZT, and the half-moon Lakeview. Both do a more than ample job of mimicking the performance and feel of a more expensive putter.

The double-milled face has a crisp feel at impact with a great level of feedback to let you know if you've mis-struck the ball ever so slightly, however we did note a high-pitched, tinny sound creeping in on certain mis-strikes that might put some more discerning players off.

Even so, the Wilson does an excellent job delivering zero torque performance on a budget and, we're confident in naming these putters one of the best value flatsticks you can buy.

Tour Edge Zero T

RRP: £152

Key features:

  • Zero torque
  • Double-milled face for premium feel
  • Black anti-glare finish with premium oversized grip

One-upping Wilson in the new affordable zero torque category, Tour Edge's new Zero T range comprises four new models, all offering high-end zero torque performance, priced at just £150.

While the putters naturally aren't completely milled (they are £150 after all) they are cast from 304 stainless steel for a clean, pure roll and feature horizontal face milling for consistent roll.

The range comes in four shapes, all of which are mallets in various sizes to suit different eyes and levels of forgiveness. The ZT-1 and ZT-4 are the largest mallets in the range, offering the most forgiveness. The ZT-2 presents a slightly more compact profile, and the ZT-3 is a square-back mallet with an open alignment aid.

All four come finished in Tour Edge's classic black colour scheme, with white alignment aids and a newly-designed oversized Tour Edge pistol style grip. They also come fitted with KBS's new KBS CT Tour Putter shaft for enhanced stability and feel.

The BHM range comprises three distinct mallet models, all engineered for high MOI performance. Each model also comes with a choice of plumbers neck, flow neck and straight shaft options so players can find the exact combination of style and setup that best suits their needs.

Cleveland HB Soft Milled

RRP: £199

Key features:

  • CNC milled for precise weighting and crisp lines
  • Speed Optimised Face Technology normalises ball speed across an enlarged striking area
  • Each head shape features a specific alignment scheme and grip designed to fit the stroke of that putter

Cleveland's Huntington Beach line has long been a staple of the entry-level putter market, offering premium feel and sleek looks at a very impressive price point.

The HB Soft Milled line is a step up from the cheaper HB Soft 2 range, but is worth the added investment. The extra money gets you a beautiful CNC milled face that feels wonderful both on clean and not-so-great strikes.

The HB Soft range is massive, with almost a dozen different shapes and sizes optimised for different stroke types. Cleveland have also fine tuned the balance and components of each putter specifically, meaning every putter will come with the exact weight and grip to help you get the most out of your particular stroke.

TaylorMade SYSTM2

RRP: £219

Key features:

  • Soft 304 stainless steel construction for premium feel at impact
  • Milled and fly cut face delivers great roll consistency
  • Metal Injection Moulded head for optimum weight balance
  • Two-tone finish helps players frame the ball better at address

The SYSTM2 range pays homage to the System2 driver range of the early '90s, and is made up of a new range of five new putter shapes ranging from traditional blades to higher MOI mallet designs. The most attractive part, however, is the price, with each model retailing for just £219.

To keep costs down, TaylorMade manufacture the putters using a process called metal injection moulding, which allows them to create a range of unique shapes with exceptional consistency and weight distribution without having to mill each putter individually from a block of metal.

The brand has elected to use a softer 304 stainless steel for a more cushioned sensation at impact, while the face is fly cut, milled and scored with a saw-cutter to provide a finish and feel more akin to that of a traditional milled-face putter.

Five putter shapes will be offered in the SYSTM2 range, with three blade shapes and two mallets. All three blades come in either L-neck or Short Curve hosel options, while the mid-mallets have L-neck or single bend options, bringing the number of total configurations available to 10.

Perhaps the cheapest putter available with a features list as big as it has, Tour Edge's Exotics Wingman is a truly affordable way to experience the luxury of a milled face putter with added high MOI stability.

Finished in a sleek Navy PVD, of the three Wingman shapes are designed for maximum stability and confidence, and feature a custom 'W' pattern milled face for a beautiful feel and consistent roll across the face.

A soft TPU insert behind the 304 stainless steel face also lends the Wingman range an incredibly soft feel, which is great if you're more used to putting with an insert.
