Blue Tees have dropped two of the coolest rangefinders of 2026
The new Captain series promises precision optics and a modern connected experience with excellent bang-for-your buck.

Blue Tees has emerged as a welcome disruptor in the stuffy world of golf tech in the last year or so.
Having a list of ambassadors that includes Paige Spiranac helps, but the real draw is the brand's knack for making modern, easy-to-use accessories that really fit the needs of everyday players.
In just the last year, the brand has dropped a hybrid GPS/bluetooth speaker for the golf course, a range of new handhelds and golf watches, an affordable portable launch monitor.
Now, Blue Tees is building on the product that brought it its initial success with a pair of new rangefinders, updating the offering of the successful entry-level Series 3 with a raft of new features.
Dubbed the Captain Series, the new range consists of two key models: the flagship Captain Pro and the affordable Captain Air, both offering features lists that set them well apart in their price bracket. Here's everything you need to know about both.

The Captain Pro is an all-in-one connected powerhouse
Headlining the new offering is the Captain Pro, which in addition to its streamlined build and IP67 waterproof rating might go down as the most fully-featured rangefinder in its price bracket.
The Captain Pro checks all the boxes you'd expect from a truly high-end unit, with a full OLED display, 7x magnification and a 1200 yard range. It also connects seamlessly into the Blue Tees Game AI tech eco system, pairing with an app on your phone to provide AI-powered club recommendations and yardages that take into account local course conditions and weather. Flag lock and pulse vibrations make honing in on the pins an absolute cinch.
The app offers in-depth course data on over 42,000 courses worldwide, displayed seamlessly and intuitively on the Captain Pro's crystal-clear display. The Captain Pro also does away with standard disposable batteries for an in-built Lithium battery, rechargeable via a USB-C port. It'll hit the market at £299.99.

The Captain Air is a mid-range option with a high-end features list
Hitting the sub-£250 price bracket is the Captain Air, a mid-range model that offers all the connected benefits of the Captain Pro with a slightly tighter features list. Fully integrated into the Blue Tees ecosystem just like the Captain Pro, the Air trades the Pro's 7x magnification to 6x, and has a slightly shorter but still more than adequate 1000yd range. As always, it has a super-quick, automatic flag lock function with pulse vibrations to let you know when you've acquired your target.
The LCD display is still super crisp, with front, centre and back distances backed up by the Game AI system. Like the Pro, it also uses the app and local GPS data to provide accurate distances and club recommendations factoring in wind, air pressure and temperature. That's a hell of a lot of functionality for the £249.99 price tag.
