Callaway marks Happy Gilmore's return by reviving his most iconic club

With the golf world on tenterhooks waiting to see if Happy Gilmore 2, the long-awaited follow-up to Adam Sandler's golf comedy, lives up to the chaotic original, the good folks at Callaway have jumped on the hype by bringing back to life one of the most recognisable clubs to feature in the 1996 classic.
Despite only featuring for a couple of scenes towards the end of the film, Gilmore's fictional Odyssey putter, gifted to him by Chubbs Peterson and styled in the form of a hockey stick, quickly became one of the most iconic props in golf movie history, spawning countless imitations and even a couple of re-releases over the years.
Now, with Gilmore back for round 2 in two-weeks time (with a huge cast of real-life personalities from the sport in tow), Odyssey and Callaway are celebrating with a special-edition release of the hockey putter, revised for the modern game, alongside a limited-edition take on the Chrome Tour golf ball.
A thoroughly modern take on a 30-year-old classic, the putter takes the DNA of the original and upgrades it with the look and tech ubiquitous in golf in 2025. The stainless steel head is fitted with a huge White Hot insert for fantastic feel on both the putting green and the rink, while an enlarged pistol grip sits up top—because it is 2025, after all.
A special sock cover also comes with the club, with the entire package dressed in the famed black and gold of Gilmore's beloved Boston Bruins NHL team.
Almost certainly the ball the big-swinging Gilmore would play in real life, the two twists on the Chrome Tour recall Gilmore and Peterson's famed putting mantras across its circumference.
Meanwhile, a hockey jersey motif adorns the rest of the ball providing a subtle alignment aid and additional contrast to spot the ball in the grass.
The Happy Gilmore Odyssey hockey stick putter (£399/$499.99) and Chrome Tour Golf Ball (£55.99/$59.99) are both available now through Callaway Golf in extremely limited quantities.
