Charlie Woods WITB: Everything in the bag of the 16-year-old golf prodigy

GolfMagic dives deep into the bag of Golf's anointed one, including a few pieces the young Woods seems to have picked up from his famous father.

No young player in the world of golf, or indeed sport, has bigger shoes to fill than that of Charlie Woods.

16-year-old Woods, the son of arguably the game's greatest ever player, has spent the last few years making headlines with basically every tournament he plays. Already, he's displayed prowess as one of the nation's best golfers in his age class, placing ninth at the 2025 Junior PGA Championship and scoring his first American Junior Golf Association victory at this year's Team TaylorMade Invitational.

Just this weekend, Woods led his high school, The Benjamin School, to team victory at the South Florida PGA Junior Golf West Coast High School Championship, posting a 68 at TwinEagles' Talon Course on the way.

And while there's no doubt that if he keeps on his current trajectory he could well be on the path to stardom in his own right, every move and swing he makes along the way will be done so under unique levels of scrutiny.

Much like his father, Woods has pretty much the entirety of the golf equipment world at his disposal. Given Tiger's links to TaylorMade and Bridgestone, however, the young prodigy plays in a similar to that of his dad, even going so far as to game the P7TW irons co-developed by TaylorMade and Tiger a few years back.

But what else resides in Charlie's bag? Given Woods' status as an amateur with no official equipment endorsement, no outlet has been given access for an official interview or a thorough breakdown of his set up. He has been pictured playing plenty of golf however, giving us lots of insight into his current bag. Here's what we know.

Driver: TaylorMade Qi35

While Tiger still plays a combination of older TaylorMade metal woods, Woods has moved into the brand's most recent driver for the 2025 season, pairing his Qi35 driver head with the same Graphite Design Tour AD VF 6 TX shaft his dad uses.

Fairway Woods: TaylorMade Qi35, TaylorMade Stealth 2

Like many tour players who prefer a familiar feel when it comes to their fairway woods, the younger Woods plays a combination of both old and new TaylorMade fairway woods, having switched into a Qi35 3-wood for the new season and elected to stick with his Stealth 2 5-wood for the time being. Both woods are fitted with Mitsubishi's Diamana D+Limited shaft: an ultra low-spin, low-launch model designed to deliver piercing ball flight.

Irons: TaylorMade P770, P7TW

Following in the footsteps of his dad, Charlie plays Tiger's signature clubs – the P7TW irons gamed not just by the elder woods, but Scottie Scheffler and Tommy Fleetwood as well. A riff on the P7 muscle-back irons, the P7TW are designed to deliver a classic aesthetic with the workability and performance of elite forged blades, with the longer blade length, thinner topline and progressive face height all precision-manufactured to meet Tiger's own personal preference.

Wedges: TaylorMade MG 2.0

Familiarity is key when it comes to the shorter clubs, hence why Woods interestingly still plays a set of TaylorMade wedges from some years ago. The MG2 model, one of the first released in conjunction with Woods after his signing with the brand, features the specific TW grind, aimed at improving versatility and shotmaking around the greens.

Putter: L.A.B Golf DF3

Tiger's trusty Scotty Cameron is one of the most legendary clubs out there, so it's perhaps fitting that Charlie for a long time also embraced the classic bladed putter model. More recently, however, the young Floridian has turned to a more modern solution for stability on the greens, placing a L.A.B Golf DF3 zero torque putter in the bag for his most recent rounds.

Golf ball: Bridgestone Tour B X

Another piece of equipment where Woods has come to emulate his father, Woods games the same Bridgestone Tour B X as Tiger. Bridgestone's fastest, longest tour ball, the Tour B X has a lower-launching, spinnier profile and a slightly firmer feel than the Tour B XS, and is designed to get the best out of swing speeds above 95mph.
