FootJoy's new Premiere Marquis might be the most stunning golf shoe of 2026

Often imitated but never duplicated, FootJoy's traditionally-styled Premiere Series golf shoes remain the high watermark among the best golf shoes in 2026.

Beloved by Tour players who still wear them in staggering proportions, as much as style-conscious golfers wanting to embody the sport's traditional aesthetic, the Premiere Series has been due an update for a little while now. For 2026, FootJoy have delivered in a big way.

The footwear and apparel manufacturer announced a huge update to the Premiere series earlier this year, headlined by an update to the Premiere Series Packard. Now, it's been joined by utterly stunning upgrade to the wingtip-styled Premiere Marquis. 

As always, both new Premiere models come with full-grain premium leather uppers, classic styling, while under foot the midsole has been lightened and a new ARCTrax outsole platform (also seen on the new Pro/SL spikeless shoe) introduced to provide more targeted traction and stability.

Both have had small tweaks to the interior padding to provide a more luxurious, cushioned feel throughout the shoe, with re-inforced cushioning in areas like the tongue and collar. Both are significantly lighter than their predecessors as a result, which is great news for players previously put off by the Premiere series' heftier profile.

FootJoy announced the new Premieres had hit their Tour testing phase earlier in the year, drawing on input from the likes longtime Premiere series players like Justin Thomas and Adam Scott.
