Full Biography

Adam Scott is a professional golfer from Australia.

He has had an extremely successful career on the PGA Tour. So much so, he is one of the highest earners of all time.

It will come as no surprise to you that Tiger Woods has won the most money in PGA Tour history.

As of March 2023, Woods had earned $120,954,766 whilst Scott had won $60,385,374 which places him fifth on the money list.

Scott was born on 16 July 1980 in Adelaide, South Australia. He turned professional in 2000 and has won numerous tournaments over the years.

The highlight was undoubtedly winning the 2013 Masters at Augusta National. In 2004, he also won the Players Championship, which is known as the 'unofficial' fifth major.

Scott entered the 72nd hole tied for the lead and sank his birdie putt at No. 18 to reach 9-under.

But the now-disgraced Angel Cabrera matched him, forcing a playoff.

Scott holed his birdie putt on the second sudden-death playoff hole to slip on the coveted green jacket.

That was the first time an Australian had ever won the Masters

Overall, Scott has 31 worldwide wins.

Despite his success, he has been labelled by some as an underachiever, particularly in the major championships.

His collapse down the stretch at the 2012 Open was compared to Greg Norman's memorable capitulation at the 1996 Masters.

Scott had a four-shot lead by endured a nightmare finish. Ernie Els posted the clubhouse lead and Scott couldn't match him.

He later said: "I'm very disappointed but I played so beautifully for most of the week I really shouldn't let this bring me down.

"I know I've let a really great chance slip through my fingers today, but somehow I'll look back and take the positives from it."

Elsewhere, Scott has also represented Australia in international golf competitions, including the Presidents Cup and the World Cup of Golf.

Scott is known for his smooth swing and strong ball-striking ability.

He is married to Marie Kojzar, a Swedish architect. The couple have two children called Bo-Vera and Byron.

It has been reported they met whilst she worked as an au pair for Thomas Bjorn.

They wed in secret at Scott's residence in the Bahamas.

Scott later told The New York Post: "I am a settled-down man and very happy.

"It was just our family and a few friends and obviously there are a lot of people we would have liked to have had been there who weren’t, but we decided to have a very low-key affair.

"She doesn’t need a traditional wedding dress to look so beautiful. We dressed up a little bit but it was still in the back yard.

"It was more about not building it up into something too big that may have gotten out of hand, but it was a fun event for everyone who was there and hopefully we will have fun celebrating with other friends when we catch up with them."

Scott is a Titleist staff player. He is sponsored by Uniqlo, Mercedes Benz and Rolex.
