GolfMagic announces new Equipment Editor ahead of 2026 season
Georgina Black becomes the new face of GolfMagic’s YouTube and social media.

GolfMagic, an industry leader in golf news and equipment reviews, is excited to announce the signing of Georgina Black (formerly Hirst) as new Equipment Editor.
With a strong background as a golf equipment reviewer and content creator following several years with Golfalot, the scratch golfer from East Yorkshire, who is now based in Scotland, is set to bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the GolfMagic team.
As Equipment Editor, Georgina will not only play a pivotal role in revitalising golf club reviews and buyer guides on the GolfMagic website, but she will also become the new face of GolfMagic’s YouTube and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok).
Georgina will work in close partnership with Reviews Editor Brad Nash, who joined GolfMagic earlier this season following previous roles at GQ Australia, BBC and Australian Golf Digest.
Moving into 2026, the majority of hardware products on GolfMagic will be tested by Georgina, while fashion expert Brad will continue to test out apparel, footwear and other soft goods.
Georgina and Brad's creative approach and dedication to all things golf equipment make them invaluable additions to GolfMagic, which is part of Crash Media Group (CMG).
"I’m really excited to join GolfMagic as Equipment Editor and help the brand take its golf club reviews to the next level," said Georgina, who hopes to achieve a plus-handicap in 2026.
"I cannot wait to get started as the new face of GolfMagic’s YouTube and social media channels, and bring my equipment expertise and knowledge of the game to our viewers."
With a background in physics and mechanics, Georgina's analytical approach to testing golf equipment is one that would likely impress Bryson DeChambeau.
"I’ve always been drawn to the technical side of golf equipment," said Georgina.
"I love understanding why something performs the way it does, or more importantly why it doesn’t, so I’m excited to bring that perspective to GolfMagic alongside my passion for content creation."
Georgina, who has represented both her county and St Andrews University 1st Team during her early career, will also be creating a lot of content at a number of leading Scottish courses.
"Having lived in St Andrews for the past eight years, I’ve been incredibly spoiled for choice across the entire area — so I also can’t wait to showcase what Scotland has to offer."

William Miller, Owner of Crash Media Group, said: "Georgina’s arrival as Equipment Editor marks an exciting new chapter for GolfMagic as we continue to grow our digital footprint.
"One of our major goals for 2026 is to significantly elevate our YouTube and social media presence, creating more dynamic, engaging, and insightful content for golfers around the world — and Georgina will be instrumental in driving that vision forward."
Andy Roberts, Editor of GolfMagic, said: "We’re thrilled to have Georgina join our content team, and she arrives at a great time with new equipment launches just around the corner.
"Georgina’s blend of playing experience and content creation talent really sets her apart — and I am extremely confident she is going to bring something special to our coverage."
The addition of Georgina underscores GolfMagic’s ongoing commitment to excellence and reinforces its position as one of the biggest digital golf media publications in the world.
GolfMagic currently welcomes a monthly average of 2.6 million unique users through its website, and a social media following of more than 350,000 users across all platforms.
