Aaron Rai WITB May 2026: Everything in the bag of the PGA Championship winner
From Rai's famous two glove approach to his surprising choice of driver, here's everything the history-making PGA Champion is gaming right now.

Having stamped his name on his first major championship trophy at the 2026 PGA Championship, Aaron Rai has gone from one of English golf's most underrated talents to a bona fide headliner.
The 31-year-old, who had a single PGA Tour win to his name and a (now) trio of DP World Tour victories before his masterclass at Aronimink, has propelled his name into the stratosphere by becoming the first Englishman in almost 100 years to claim the Wanamaker Trophy, potentially stamping his passport to next year's Ryder Cup in the process.
Perhaps one of the most interesting aspects of Rai's game, however, is his unique choice of equipment. Famed for his approach of wearing two golf gloves year round, a few other distinct equipment and clothing choices help Rai stand out from the crowd – from his sponsorship deal with YouTube channel Me and My Golf, to his enduring use of plastic castle tees, to use of head covers on his irons.
While Rai has a deal with Titleist to play the company's Pro V1 golf ball, Rai is otherwise an equipment free agent, gaming an eccentric mix of clubs from not just Titleist but TaylorMade as well. It's clearly working, with Rai finishing in the top 20 on the PGA Tour this year in total strokes gained.
Here, then, is everything Rai had in the bag en route to his historic maiden major victory.

Driver: TaylorMade M6
Proving that you don't need the latest and greatest driver to produce tour-winning results, Rai has played his long-trusted TaylorMade M6 driver since its release six years ago and doesn't appear to be inclined to take it out of the bag any time soon.
The M6, alongside its predecessor the M2, is one of the most beloved former driver models on tour, with multiple pros including Rory McIlroy expressing their admiration for the club in recent years. But while others have since moved on into more current models, Rai remains steadfast in his commitment to stick with what he has.
Fairway Woods: TaylorMade Qi10
Rai has moved into a more recent model for his choice of Fairway Wood, however, joining the likes of Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood in embracing the Qi10 fairway woods. An incredibly successful release from TaylorMade at the tour level, more PGA players play variants of the Qi10 fairway woods than the more recent Qi35 by a magnitude of almost two to one.
Hybrid: Titleist GT2
Hybrids are becoming an increasingly uncommon sight on tour with higher launching fairway woods coming into trend, however Rai seemingly enjoys the forgiveness and versatility offered to him by his Titleist GT2 hybrid, and depending on the course he's playing will insert the hybrid into his bag in lieu of a standard 4-iron.
The brand's most forgiving hybrid model, the GT2 is beloved for its easy launch, high ball flight and straight distance.

Irons: TaylorMade P7TW
Despite the bevy of more forgiving clubs that make up the longer end of his bag, make no mistake that Rai is one of the purest ballstrikers on tour, as evidenced by his choice of irons.
One of seven players on tour to game TaylorMade's famed P7TW irons (including the Big Cat himself), Rai joins illustrious company including Scottie Scheffler, Tommy Fleetwood and Lucas Herbert in claiming wins with the legendary irons. His, however, always come with iron covers attached, Rai stating that he keeps the famously pretty irons covered away because he wants to "appreciate the value" of what he has.
Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM11
Rai uses Titleist's current model Vokey SM11 wedges, forgoing the pitching wedge from his TaylorMade iron set and using the Vokeys in 46º, 54º and 60º lofts.
He used SM9 model wedges from a couple of years ago up until the start of this season, placing the new wedges in the bag for their enhanced spin and feel.
Putter: Titleist Spider Tour V
TaylorMade's Spider Tour V putter is the most recent addition to Rai's bag, entering his set up to replace the TaylorMade HydroBlast TP DuPage he used up until August's British Masters tournament. Similar in profile to the DuPage but with more weight, stability and MOI, the Spider Tour V has a small yet devoted following on tour, with Collin Morikawa also preferring the Spider Tour V over the more iconic Spider Tour X model.
Golf Ball: Titleist Pro V1
Titleist boasts just about an even split between Tour players who play the Pro V1 and Pro V1x models, but regardless of affiliation the brand's flagship ball model remains the most popular in the professional game by a wide margin.
Rai plays the standard Pro V1, which launches lower and spins slightly less than its sibling in the Pro V1x, but has a softer feel.

Golf Gloves: GlenMuir MacWet
Easily the most distinctive element of Rai's choice of golf outfit, the Englishman is famed for wearing a full pair of golf rain gloves no matter the weather, preferring the consistent grip and feel in both hands as opposed to just wearing a single glove.
The gloves in particular Rai wears are a little known rain model from Scottish brand Glenmuir, known as the MacWet and billed as the most advanced rain glove on the market. Engineered with a unique palm material that actually gets grippier and tackier as it gets wet, the MacWet gloves also have a mesh backhand ensuring breathability and quick drying performance to deal with multiple different climates.
