Vijay Singh is wearing some very unconventional golf shoes at the Masters this week
The Masters legend will be taking to the hallowed turf at Augusta in some interesting footwear.

It's always nice when former Masters champion Vijay Singh arrives at a major tournament, and we're pleased to say that the 63-year-old, long famed for his epic duels with Tiger Woods throughout the late '90s, is once again teeing it up at Augusta this week.
Still a headline player on the Champions Tour having finished in the top 25 on last year's Charles Schwab Cup list, Singh will likely face a tough battle nonetheless to make the cut at this weekend's Masters. However it's what he's got on his feet that has us most interested.
Golfers of Singh's age, particularly those who have to walk like he does, naturally have to make adjustments over time to ensure they're able to make it around the course comfortably. And in a particularly quirky decision, the Fijian made the decision a couple of years ago to ditch golf shoes altogether, taking to the course in a pair of regular trainers from Japanese running brand Hoka ever since.
Skratch's fashion commentator Raymond Williams noted that Singh took part at the weekend's Hoag Classic in his now-trademark Hokas, rocking an all-white pair of the brand's Stealth/Tech Tecton X 2 model, which retail for around £185.
On Monday, he was also pictured taking part in a practice round at Augusta alongside Jake Knapp wearing a pair of the same shoes – albeit in a more colourful palette.
Trail running shoes of this kind are becoming increasingly common in golf as players look for more comfortable options that don't sacrifice grip or stability. Singh has spoken of having podiatry issues before, which explains why he may need a pair that offers more cushioning.
Compared to standard running shoes, Trail runners have more durable and grippy outsoles, soft-yet-stable foam under foot for stability, and more weather-resistant uppers – all perfect for a life on and off the course.
