Wilson's DYNAPWR Max+ driver could be the sleeper hit of 2026
The storied brand has officially stepped into the 10K MOI circle with the launch of its most forgiving driver yet.

We're not even a month in 2026, but it's already proving to be a big year for the folks over at Wilson.
Fresh off of releasing not only an update to their Staff Model ball range but a complete refresh of their Staff Model iron line, the brand has now made perhaps its biggest statement of intent yet with the launch of what it calls the most forgiving driver in its history.
Called the DYNAPWR Max+, the new driver builds on the formula of last year's DYNAPWR Max driver, cranking up the MOI figure even further by way of a new face construction and an adjustable rear weight.
"With the Max+ driver we’ve reached 10K MOI without increasing the clubhead mass. Most, if not
all, 10K heads achieve that threshold in part by increasing clubhead mass, as more mass equals more
MOI," Jared Guttmann, Wilson’s Manager of Advanced Golf R&D, says.

"The downside to this approach is that you slow down the clubhead speed and therefore the ball speed. Our approach in designing the Max+ was incredibly efficient and we were able to maintain high clubhead speeds and high ball speeds, while also driving 10K forgiveness."
The Max+ isn't a rework, then, but a subtle tweak of the Max aimed at unlocking even more performance and forgiveness. It has a lower crown, while PKR-360 face design, which was developed with AI to deliver golfers the biggest sweet spot possible, has been refined and lightened, allowing Wilson's engineers to push weight further towards the perimeter and rear of the club.
This has also enabled Wilson's engineers to put a 5g adjustable weight in the rear of the club, cranking up the forgiveness without it resulting in a net weight gain. The face has also been milled with a rounder profile to better manage gear effect on mishits.

It doesn't end there, however. Wilson have addressed a bugbear of previous DYNAPWR models by refining the acoustics, testing dozens of prototypes and conducting thousands of simulations to perfectly map out the internal structure that would deliver the most solid, powerful sound and sensation at impact.
The Wilson DYNAPWR Max+ will hit store shelves in February, with an RRP of £429. We'll be sure to bring you a full review soon.
