Greg Norman teases new LIV Golf signings: "PGA Tour opened up Pandora's box"

Greg Norman has teased future LIV Golf signings while also blaming the PGA Tour's actions for golf's current civil war.

Greg Norman teases new LIV Golf signings:

Greg Norman insists there are players waiting to jump onboard to LIV Golf as he recently explained in a interview how the PGA Tour is at fault for the current hostilities in men's professional golf.

Norman, the LIV Golf CEO, is in Australia this week ahead of the LIV Golf Adelaide event set to begin on Friday.

It'll be the first time since the Presidents Cup in 2019 that many stars in the men's game will be teeing it in the Norman's home country as the PGA Tour does not make it a regular stop.

And while the Saudi-backed league already has big names like World. No. 6 Cameron Smith, Brooks Koepka, and Dustin Johnson, Norman insists more stars are waiting to join the new circuit.

Greg Norman teases new LIV Golf signings:

"It's an ongoing process. We've got a long list of players who want to come in. We just don't have the ability today because players are under contract," Norman said to NCA NewsWire, per Yahoo Sports. "But we'll get to a position where there will be a relegation series and places will start opening up.

He added:

"It's incredible the amount of players who want to come on board. It would surprise you how good those names are."

Greg Norman teases new LIV Golf signings:

As more and more names join Norman's league, less and less will be seen on the PGA Tour since it decided to suspend players for playing in LIV Golf events.

And, in the former World No. 1's opinion, the PGA Tour is the one to blame for the current hostilities.

Norman said:

"The PGA Tour made it that way. The PGA Tour opened up Pandora's box by threatening players with lifetime bans.
"Somebody came in and offered competition to (the PGA Tour) they didn't like it. But it's not going to stay this way forever, because we're not going anywhere.
"So somewhere down the line in some way, shape or form, the two parties have gotta come to the table.
"It's product versus product and we're proud of our product, and our product's not gonna go anywhere."

He added:

"I just know our model is here to stay. It's not a vindictive attitude or approach or anything like that. It's my desire to do what is right for the game of golf and what is right for the players, and what is right for the fans that are out here."
