LIV Golf Washington prize money: How much they are playing for

LIV Golf will play their first event after Brooks Koepka became a five-time major winner when the rival league heads to Washington, DC. 

Koepka, 33, took down the PGA Championship in what was a welcome credibility boost for the breakaway tour. 

There is no doubt that Koepka will be one of the hot favourites to claim his third LIV title when Greg Norman et al head to Trump National Washington. 

As is standard, LIV Golf Washington will have a $25m prize purse, with the individual winner receiving the top prize of $4m. 

That winner's cheque is still way higher than the total amount Koepka scooped at Oak Hill. 

There is also a separate pot for the top three teams.
