How to go about playing golf during the coronavirus lockdown

Golf has a new set of rules during the coronavirus pandemic, and it is very important you follow them so that you and your playing partners can keep enjoying the sport in the safest manner possible during the lockdown. 

Bunker rakes are now removed from the sand, there is to be no touching of the pin, and scorecards must not be handled or exchanged. Those are just three of the new stipulations in play during the COVID-19 pandemic.

THE MOST IMPORTANT NEW GUIDELINES FOR GOLF DURING COVID-19

> You must book your tee time before arrival

> You must remain in your car until at least 15 minutes before your tee time

> You can only play golf in singles or in two-balls (you can now play with a friend who does not live with you)

> There must be an interval of at least 10 minutes between tee times

> Non competition is recommended for the time being, and scorecards are not to be exchanged with one another

> Golfers must remain 2 metres apart when walking to their ball and playing shots

> Bunker rakes will be removed, so you must smooth the sand with your feet

> Do not pick up stray golf balls on the course

> You are not allowed to touch the flagstick

> Hole liners will be fitted to the cup to ensure the golf ball does not fall below the surface and it can easily be picked up

> You must not shake hands with your playing partner

> Clubhouses and locker rooms will remain locked

> You must leave the golf course immediately after your round
