Golfers can be on the receiving end of negative stick a lot of the time, whether it's to do with money, pace of play or their attitude on the course, but it's simply wonderful to see the time these professionals give to children who share a love for the game.

Dustin Johnson is currently playing in The Northern Trust at Liberty National, the first stop of the FedEx Cup Playoffs and he's made quite the start, shooting an eight-under score of 63 in the first round, leaving him just one shot off the lead.

Johnson will be looking to make a move up the FedEx rankings to give himself the best possible chance of winning his first FedEx Cup at the Tour Championship in September and he'll also be keen to take back his world No.1 spot from Brooks Koepka.

The 2016 U.S Open champion is clearly focused for the week ahead, but that didn't stop him making one little girl's dreams come true during a practice round.

DJ invited Meg, who is battling leukemia, and her twin brother out on the course to walk a hole with him, where she clearly enjoyed watching Johnson.

Meg was also given DJ's putter on the green to try and make a putt for herself, as she enjoys playing mini golf regularly.

"That was awesome!" said Meg, as she hugged her father. Watch the video below, this is what golf is all about:
