Jon Rahm returned to the World No.1 ranking with his 10th PGA Tour victory at the elevated Genesis Invitational.

The tournament, hosted by Tiger Woods, carried a total prize purse of $20m

That meant Spain's Rahm took home a cheque for $3.6m with his third victory of 2023 and his fifth in his past nine worldwide start.

In case you didn't know, the sensational win means that Rahm now has one more PGA Tour win than his idol the late, great Seve Ballesteros

Rahm told the media in the immediate aftermath of his victory:

"Beating Seve, I know he didn't play full time on the PGA Tour and I know five of those wins are majors, but still, to reach that milestone of double digit wins is pretty incredible.
"And to do it at a golf course with this legacy, this history and hosted by the man himself, Tiger Woods, it's a true honour."

Rahm also won the PGA Tour's first 'designated' events in January in Hawaii for $3.6m

If you throw in the prize money he earned from taking down The American Express, it means his season earnings now $9.4m

To put this into perspective, he's earned $6,999 per shot. It sure is good to be Rahm.
