PGA Tour: How much did each player win at Charles Schwab Challenge?

Scottie Scheffler may be the standout player of the 2022 PGA Tour season, but Sam Burns is hot on his tail after winning the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Burns came from seven shots behind on Sunday, tying the largest final-round comeback in the tournament's history, to reach 9-under-par to force a playoff with Scheffler at Colonial Country Club.

The 25-year-old shot the joint-lowest score of the day of 65 to reach 9-under-par. Scheffler made an up-and-down from a greenside bunker on the 72nd hole to level his good friend.

Both players played the 18th hole safely, the first hole of the sudden-death playoff. Scheffler found the heart of the green, while Burns reached the back fringe.

Stepping up to the plate, Burns drained the 38-foot putt for his fourth PGA Tour victory. This was the first time that the winning shot was made from off the green at a tour event since Matthew Wolff at the 2019 3M Open.
