Rory McIlroy won the Amgen Irish Open for the second time after edging out Joakim Lagergen on the third playoff hole, but how much did the Masters champion win at The K Club?
McIlroy's thrilling finish, holing a 30-foot putt for eagle on the 72nd green, forced extra holes with the Swede, and it was the Ulsterman who prevailed at the third time of asking.
The home favourite lifted the title for the first time since 2016, also at The K Club, and he pocketed just over $1m for his efforts.
McIlroy made a heartwarming claim after recording the 20th title of his DP World Tour career.
Despite not being a Rolex Series event, having a strong field including the likes of Shane Lowry, Tyrrell Hatton and Brooks Koepka helped boost the total prize fund to $6m.
