Sir Nick Faldo back home after "successful" open-heart surgery
Six-time major champion Sir Nick Faldo says he is resting at home after undergoing open-heart surgery.
Multiple major champion Sir Nick Faldo says he has undergone "successful" open-heart surgery.
The 68-year-old told his social media followers on Friday that he recently had preventative surgery to repair his enlarged aorta.
Faldo did not reveal when he had the procedure, but has vowed to return to Augusta National in April for the 2026 Masters.
He is currently resting at home in Montana alongside his wife Lindsay, a statement posted on his social media profiles read.
Faldo is widely regarded as Britain's best ever golfer, having won The Masters and The Open each on three occasions.

"After two weeks in Cleveland, Nick Faldo, and his wife, Lindsay, are on their way home following a successful, scheduled preventative open-heart surgery to repair his enlarged aorta, performed by world-renowned cardiac surgeon Dr Lars Svensson at The Cleveland Clinic.
"Nick is now looking ahead to returning to his golf course design work and to The Masters Week in Augusta, GA, where he will be celebrating 'Six back in '96'.
"Home never felt so good."
Faldo won six major championship titles during his illustrious, hall of fame career.
He won the green jacket in 1989, 1990 and 1996 and the claret jug in 1987, 1990 and 1992
Faldo was inducted into golf's world hall of fame in 1997. He also spent a total of 97 weeks ranked as world number one.
