Charlie Woods fails to advance to US Junior Amateur match play stage
Tiger Woods' son Charlie Woods fails to advance to the match play stages of the US Junior Amateur Championship.

Tiger Woods' son Charlie Woods has failed to advance to the match play rounds at the US Junior Amateur Championship.
Woods, 16, carded an 81 at Brook Hollow GC on Monday and then followed it with a 74 at Trinity Forest GC on Tuesday.
It all added up to a 14-over par total in the two-day stroke play stage of the tournament, which was 12 shots outside the cut mark to advance to this weekend's match play stage.
Woods has enjoyed his best season to date as an amateur in 2025, but it was not to be for him in Dallas this week.
The US Junior Amateur started with a huge field of 264 players earlier this week.
It's now been whittled down to the top 64 players who advance to knockout match play at Trinity Forest GC in Dallas from Saturday 26 July.
The US Junior Amateur is one of the most coveted junior events in the world.
Past winners include Charlie's father and 15-time major champion Tiger Woods (1991, 1992, 1993), current World No.1 and four-time major champion Scottie Scheffler (2013) and three-time major champion Jordan Spieth (2009, 2011).

Former World No.1 Woods was pleasingly seen walking around both courses as he watched his son's every move.
Tiger was wearing Sun Day Red apparel and footwear from head to toe.
Sun Day Red dropped its first sneaker today.
Woods has been on the sidelines this season after recovering from surgery to repair a left Achilles injury.

Woods is not expected to return to PGA Tour action until 2026, a season where he will be eligible to compete on the PGA Tour Champions.
He will turn 50 on 30 December 2025.
Charlie won his first AJGA title at the Team TaylorMade Invitational at the end of May.
He is ranked 19th in the AJGA standings.
Charlie currently represents Benjamin School but it remains to be seen which college Charlie will choose to represent.
Tiger attended Stanford University, so that could offer plenty of appeal.
Another potential option for Charlie could be Florida State, but at this stage it's unknown.
