Newly released bodycam footage shows the moments surrounding Tiger Woods’ arrest on a DUI charge following a rollover crash near his home in Jupiter Island last Friday.

“I looked down at my phone and all of a sudden, boom!” said Woods, as footage begins shortly after the incident. When Woods is about to get handcuffed, he reacts shocked saying, “I'm being arrested?!”

Police say Woods, driving a Range Rover SUV, clipped the back of a truck while travelling at “a high speed” in a 30mph zone.

Despite returning “triple zeros” on a breathalyser test, Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek confirmed Woods was charged with driving under the influence, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test.

Officers also reported that Woods had two hydrocodone pills, an opioid painkiller, in his possession.

He was detained for eight hours before being released on bail.

The 82-time PGA Tour winner pleaded not guilty via his lawyers on Tuesday.

A court hearing is scheduled for Thursday 23 April, though Woods is not required to attend.

New footage released by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and shared by local station WPBF on Thursday shows the 50-year-old interacting with officers and undergoing field sobriety tests.

As the golf legend is handcuffed, Woods asks, “I'm being arrested?!”

An officer responds: “At this time, I do believe your normal faculties are impaired.”

During a search, Woods tells officers he has nothing on him that could harm them and denies carrying weapons or drugs.

However, video shows police removing cash, AirPods, nicotine-free “focus pouches,” and two pills from his pocket.

Woods is heard telling officers the pills are “Norco” — commonly used to describe a prescription medication combining hydrocodone and acetaminophen. A police affidavit later confirmed the pills were hydrocodone.

In additional footage, Woods repeats: “I looked down at my phone, and boom,” when describing the crash.

The release of the videos comes one day after a Florida judge granted Woods permission to leave the United States for medical treatment, citing privacy concerns.

Court documents state Woods' physician recommended treatment abroad due to a “complex clinical presentation” requiring a level of care not available domestically.

Woods took to social media on Tuesday night to confirm he is going to take some time out to seek treatment and focus on his health

It means he will not be in attendance at Augusta National for The Masters next week.
