Justin Thomas has taken to social media to reveal a shocking bruise to the middle of his forehead after playing with his daughter Molly Grace.

Thomas, 32, last week received one of six captain's picks on Keegan Bradley's United States Ryder Cup team.

JT received a pick alongside Patrick Cantlay, Collin Morikawa, Sam Burns, Ben Griffin and Cameron Young.

The sextet join Scottie Scheffler, JJ Spaun, Xander Schauffele, Russell Henley, Bryson DeChambeau and Harris English on the team.

Thomas will be the most experienced Ryder Cup player teeing it up on the American side.

The former World No.1 boasts a solid 7-4-2 record at the Ryder Cup, including 3-0-0 in singles matches.

The stars and stripes will look for revenge against Luke Donald's European Ryder Cup team at Bethpage in New York from 26-28 September.

Fast forward a week from receiving a pick from Bradley, and Thomas now has something of a headache after playing with his young child Molly Grace.

A toy seemingly mangled JT's forehead.

Thomas wrote on social media: “Happy Thursday everybody. Did y'all have a good Wednesday? I sure did…”

JT's post was accompanied with a video that showed off a horrendous bruise on his forehead - along with cries of laughter from his hysterical wife wife Jillian

Justin and Jillian became parents for the first time on 18 November 2024.

Thomas and nine other US Ryder Cup players will compete at next week's Procore Championship on the PGA Tour.

The tournament marks the start of the FedEx Cup Fall Series.

Their participation in the tournament is all part of captain Bradley's plans to get his players in competitive mode rather than staying at home ahead of the Ryder Cup.

Bradley considers a lack of playing reps contributed to the Americans losing heavily to the Europeans at Marco Simone in 2023.

Donald's team won by five points two years ago in Rome.

Europe will attempt to become the first away team to win the Ryder Cup since the Miracle at Medinah in 2012.
