Per the Associated Press, the biennial showdown between Europe and the United States will head to Spain in six years' time.
Camiral Golf and Wellness, near Barcelona, is set to stage the matches and an official announcement will be made next week.
Ramon Nogué, the president of the Catalan golf federation, confirmed the news to AP.
Ryder Cup Europe were approached for comment.
The Camiral resort, which was previously known as PGA Catalunya, has hosted several European Tour events and even the Spanish Open.
It will be the second time Spain has hosted the Ryder Cup after Valderrama in 1997.
The news will come as a devastating blow for some English fans who had hoped the Ryder Cup would return to the country for the first time since The Belfry hosted in 2002.
Several courses in England expressed in interest in staging the 2031 Ryder Cup.
They included Royal Lytham & St Annes, Royal Birkdale, Wentworth and Moortown Golf Club.
Bolton was actively pursuing a massive development at Hulton Park and there was even chatter it could go to Bedfordshire after plans were approved last February for Luton Hoo to build a championship course worthy of hosting the Ryder Cup.
Team Europe and Team USA will lock horns once again this September at Bethpage Black in New York.
Luke Donald has retained his role as the team captain for the blue and gold having overseen a five-point victory at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome.
The United States will be led by Keegan Bradley, 38, who is likely to become the first playing captain since Arnold Palmer in 1963.
