Bryson DeChambeau's caddie Greg Bodine has praised the 2024 US Open champion after a "week to remember" at the 2025 Ryder Cup

DeChambeau and United States were on the receiving end of a two-point defeat at Bethpage Black in New York.

Keegan Bradley's men looked dead and buried after two days of the contest, trailing Europe 12-5 going into the Sunday singles.

But they came roaring back and, in truth, were unfortunate not to snatch a draw at the very least.

Had a few more putts dropped, they could've very easily staged the biggest comeback ever in the Ryder Cup.

On a personal note, it looked like DeChambeau's week was going to end in misery.

He was five down to Matthew Fitzpatrick after playing only seven holes, but fought back to secure half a point.

The rest of his week was a mixture of resilience and frustration.

Draped in a United States flag, he led Team USA out on Friday morning with Justin Thomas, but lost comfortably to Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton.

DeChambeau partnered Ben Griffin in the afternoon fourballs against Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood but lost a tight match.

The two-time major champ partnered Cameron Young in the Saturday foursomes and defeated Fitzpatrick and Ludvig Aberg 4&2.

Bradley decided to make sweeping changes for the second day and sent DeChambeau out with the top-ranked Scottie Scheffler against Rose and Fleetwood.

The US duo lost 3&2, but the match was overshadowed by an argument on the 16th green between Bodine and Rose. European vice-captain Francesco Molinari and Scheffler's looper, Ted Scott, also got involved.

Unsurprisingly, it didn't take long for the matter to be resolved. Scott said in an Instagram video that he didn't sleep much after the disagreement, but apologised for responding to aggression with aggression

He also posted a video with Molinari.

Bodine did not reference the fisticuffs on his Instagram post, but praised DeChambeau's fighting spirit.

"A week to remember in so many ways," he wrote.

"I love that my family was able to be there. Thankful for my country, and you must know by now that you can never count out Bryson DeChambeau, no matter what the circumstances.

"Love my brothers who went to battle this week together."

Jim Furyk makes stunning admission about Bethpage

The inquest into what went wrong for Bradley and Team USA is well underway.

For his part, Bradley said that he made a mistake with the course set up.

He wanted the greens to be much faster.

Vice-captain Furyk has claimed that, despite being told the greens were playing at 12.5 on the stimp, many players felt they were much slower

Russell Henley responds after flopping for Team USA

Russell Henley was touted among many to be one of the top points scorers at Bethpage given he was paired with the aforementioned Scheffler.

But the world number three only managed to secure half a point.

He also left his crucial birdie putt short on the 18th green in the decisive match against Shane Lowry.

The only player to earn less points at the 2025 Ryder Cup was Denmark's Rasmus Hojgaard, who lost both of his two matches.

Henley said he'll come back stronger for the experience
