Oscar Jacobson has revealed its Autumn/Winter 2017 apparel line-up.

Featuring innovative technologies such as the Zip-In System, which combines a wind or rainproof outerlayer with different insulating midlayers, there are also extensions to the Primaloft and Cashwool knitwear ranges, all boasting the classic Scandinavian style.

Brick, a lightweight jacket in a semi-dull woven fabric, and the sleeveless Caleb gilet now feature Primaloft  Sport Insulation and a heavier padding for even greater insulation and more of a fashion look.

They can either be worn alone on cool, crisp days, or seamlessly zipped into an outer layer via the ZIP-IN system for added insulation or protection when conditions demand.

For full wet weather protection, Lawrie Pro is the new premium three-layer waterproof jacket, woven from a fabric with very high four-way stretch properties. This ZIP-IN compatible jacket features fully tapered seams, an articulated sleeve design for improved fit and a two-way zipper. Arnold and Arnold Tour are newcomers to the wind- and shower-proof line-up, both woven from a knitted full-stretch fabric with a knitted jersey interior for added comfort.

Pullovers and sweaters for Autumn/Winter 2017 again come in a wide variety of styles, with an extended colour range in the Cashwool 100% Extrafine merino wool classic V-neck Wyatt. The quarter-zip Heron/Heron Pin and the full-zip Cabot Pin, with its stylish raglan sleeve inserts, join Wyatt in the Cashwool  line-up.

There is also an extensive collection of mid-layers comprising a 50% Extrafine merino wool/50% polyacryclic mix, among them: Nero, a V-neck sweater with fashion detail on sleeve and collar; Brock, a half-zip pullover with fashion details on sleeve and collar plus contrast colouring on the inside neck; Reid, a crewneck sweater with patterned upper chest and arms; Topher, a full-zip cardigan with a stretchy dropliner for extra comfort and warmth on windy days; and Brett, a half-zip flat-knit top with the same stretchy dropliner as Topher. Among the most striking newcomers are Pock and Pock Tour, jersey-knit block design T-neck sweaters available in five striking colour combos with contrast piping on the placket.

The plain Ivo and Ivo Tour join Collin in the short-sleeve shirt range, both pique-knit polyester polos in three classic colours. The eye-catching Spark and Spark Tour are new long-sleeve pique-knit options, available in two striking two-tone colourways.

As ever, many of the new Autumn/Winter collection’s performance garments can be combined to deliver OJ’s three-layer WPS Weather Protection System. Light, breathable and comfortable base layers, like the turtle-neck Ron, half-zip Rock and stretch roll-neck Birk, are designed to wick moisture away and regulate temperature. Mid-layer tops, fleeces and sweaters bring the element of warmth needed to play your best when the chill winds blow in. The windproof, watertight and lightweight outer layers then offer total protection from the elements. The whole WPS package is engineered to meet three key requirements – protection, comfort and freedom.

The Autumn/Winter 2017 colour palette retains three distinctive themes – Resort, drawing heavily on royal blue/navy combos with electric purple the accent colour; Club, combining subtle greys, beiges and olives with the ever dependable black; and Performance, introducing a masculine Caribbean blue for an element of vitality and brightness.
