adidas pays tribute to a GOAT with the new CODECHAOS Messi golf shoe
The Three Stripes is bringing World Cup fever to the golf course for the first time.

There is, famously, no World Cup in golf, but that doesn't mean you can't bring a little bit of the world game to the links from time to time.
Now, with the World Cup well and truly underway in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, adidas have seen fit to honour football's arguable goat in Lionel Messi, unveiling an ultra-limited version of the new CODECHAOS shoe that pays homage to one of the greatest legacies in sport.
“For the next month the world will be captivated by the FIFA World Cup stage," says adidas' Jeff Lienhart "We want to celebrate this moment, and Lionel provides us with a great opportunity to do so. We partnered with our team in football (soccer) to create something special for the course that combines the best of adidas Golf and adidas Football.”

The CODECHAOS Messi draws on the futuristic silhouettes of both the new spikeless CODECHAOS golf shoe (which is yet to be officially unveiled) and the ‘El Último Tango’ F50.6 TUNIT football boot Messi will be wearing throughout the world cup.
The striking shoe is emblazoned in the ivory and sky blue of Argentina's national team kit, with pops of gold and Messi's signature logo nodding to his status as the most recent man to bring his home nation a World Cup.
adidas has also revealed a couple of key pieces of tech information on the CODECHAOS as part of the release. The shoes have a new AXISLOCK stabiliser in the heel and midfoot to give golfers stability and control when they are out on the course. Returning to the CODECHAOS for the 26 model will be a full-length BOOST foam midsole, as well as a Twistgrip spikeless traction pattern on the outsole.

The release was the subject of a special photoshoot in Eastern Oregon at Silvies Valley Ranch: a unique ranch where the goats are trained to serve as caddies on two of the ranch’s renowned golf courses.
You can shop the extremely limited release when it drops on Adidas' website at 8am BST on June 17.
