Golf is replete with incredible comeback stories, but with the exception of Tiger's Masters win in 2019, very few in over the last decade have carried the weight of what Anthony Kim achieved at LIV Golf Adelaide on the weekend.

The American, touted as one of the best prospects of his generation during his early years on the PGA Tour, retired abruptly from golf at the end of the 2012 season, citing injuries while media speculation was rife that he didn't enjoy life on tour.

Kim made a surprise return to golf in 2024 as a wildcard signing for LIV Golf and leading many to wonder whether he'd be able to recapture the tournament-winning form that saw him capture three PGA Tour titles between 2008 and 2010.

After a shaky start to life back in the professional game, who revealed that he battled drug and alcohol addictions during his years off tour, found his form throughout the 2025 season, placing in the top 5 at the PIF Saudi International.

In February 2026, Kim capped off one of golf's most memorable comebacks, claiming his first professional win in 16 years at the breakaway tour's Australian stop.

"I always believed that this day would come," said Kim. "With the support of my wife, my daughter and my mum, I knew anything was possible but for it to actually happen is incredible.

"I just wanted to take it all in. In my twenties, I wasn't able to enjoy the moment but having my daughter and my wife here has made it the best situation I could possibly ask for.

"I just want to thank all the people that have supported me when I was not playing well and I was struggling on the verge of never coming back."

A complete free agent when it comes to equipment, Kim opted to game a full bag of Titleist clubs upon his return to professional golf.

Since then, however, he's tinkered with his setup somewhat, working in a variety of clubs from Callaway and TaylorMade throughout his bag.

Take a look into his full Adelaide-winning setup below.
