Hennie Otto of South Africa is in deep water with the Sunshine Tour Officials after he threw a whole set of clubs into a river during the South African Masters last week.
Otto will face a grilling from Tour officials this week during the Alfred Dunhill Open in Johannesburg for breaking, then throwing his clubs into the river on the course after shooting an 80 in his second round.
Louis Martin of the Sunshine Tour will be investigating the issue and will speak to Otto this week.
"At this stage all I have heard is rumour," said Martin.
"When I hear the full story and get all the facts then I'll decide what action should be taken.
"I have not tried to reach the player but will do so at next week's tournament.
"We are heavy on discipline," Martin said. "The public and sponsors need to see that our professionals act in a manner appropriate to the professional game of golf."
Otto may well be in water as deep as his clubs!
