We've all got that one friend who we have anointed the "YouTube golfer".
I've just been watching some tips, they'll tell you on the first tee. I've got it all sorted out, they'll add. Sussed. 36 stableford points incoming.
Apart from they haven't. They never will. The beautiful thing about this game is that we will never be good enough.
No matter how hard we try to perfect the swing there will always be faults.

But we can attempt to get better. One of the ways we can do that is the use of training aids.
Swinging over the top? Get a pool noodle out and feel yourself swinging from from the inside.
Hitting duck hooks? Do the opposite.

But this. This. This takes the biscuit. Let's take a look at the training aids in use here:
- Two pool noodles for swing path
- A swing guide wrist trainer
- An impact ball training aid
- Training aid blocks for connection
- Alignment stick placed behind
- A rubber band
- A football between the legs
- A swing path guide for perfect club face impact position
How on earth did this go straight? Maybe we should all start ordering some training aids for the new season.
Talk about overkill. Clearly, they are having us on. But there's no doubt you'll have a pal who overthinks this wonderful game.
