Steph Curry slam dunks opening drive into golf cart cup holder!
NBA star's pro debut at Web.com's Ellie Mae Classic gets off to shocking start, but he recovers nicely.
Golden State Warriors basketball star Steph Curry is more than used to shooting hoops on a daily basis, and the story was no different when he hooked his opening tee shot off the first in his Web.com debut at the Ellie Mae Classic today.
Curry, a 2-handicap, went on to shoot a very respectable 4-over 74 in the first round, but things got off to the worst possible start when he slam dunked his opening tee shot at the par-4 10th into a golf cart cup holder.

To the point guard's credit, he recovered and flew the back of the green with his third shot before very nearly chipping in for par.

From there, Curry threw in four more bogeys and a double bogey, but he countered them with three birdies at the 15th, third and sixth.
The crowds, as you can see, were unlike any Web.com Tour event in recent memory with a gallery that would not have looked out of place at a US Open.

While well down the board and outside the top 100, Curry certainly didn't disgrace himself as he beat a number of professional golfers, most notably Australia's Mathew Goggin and America's Casey Wittenberg (6-over).
