Woods v Mickelson PPV: fellow Tour pros say they'll unlikely watch it
Brooks Koepka, Paul Casey and Tommy Fleetwood show lack of interest in Tiger v Phil $9 million match.
The $9 million pay-per-view match between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson may be set for November 23, but the revelation has hardly set pulses racing amongst their fellow peers on Tour.
Paul Casey addressed his opening 4-under 67 at The Northern Trust with the media, and was then asked whether he would be tuning in to watch the box office bonanza of Woods v Mickelson scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend in Las Vegas.
"No," laughed Casey. "I've never bought anything on pay-per-view. Someone else always does that."

Brooks Koepka, who also carded a 67 on day one, also seemed a little disinterested - albeit with the date clashing with Dustin Johnson's brother Austin tying the knot (well, he thinks so anyway!)
"I think that might be Austin's [Johnson’s] wedding, Dustin's brother," said Koepka, who ousted Woods to the US PGA earlier this month.
"I don't know. If we're at the wedding then probably not. They might order it, I have no idea, but we'll be there. We'll be busy with other things."
After all, Koepka has his eyes set on an even bigger prize in the shape of the lucrative $10 million bonus for winning the season-long FedEx Cup race, where he is in contention to land the spoils following two major victories in 2018.
England's Tommy Fleetwood, who also posted a first-round 67, likely spoke for the rest of the British public on the matter.
"Depends where I am and if it's televised where I am," said Fleetwood, last year's European Tour Race to Dubai winner.
"If I'm at home and it's not on Sky Sports, then I probably won't go out of my way to watch it. But I mean, I wouldn't mind being part of it."
Although there are still details that need to be sorted out, including how much it would cost to watch the action, Woods is confident the model will work.
"How many times have we all purchased fights, whether it's MMA or it's boxing, whatever it may be... we all purchase those fights," said Woods.
"As I said, this will be different. It's fun to do something different in our sport and something that's never been done before."
Mickelson carded a 68 on day one of The Northern Trust, with Woods shooting a level-par 71.
