It's fair to say Scottie Scheffler and Ted Scott have enjoyed one of the most successful player-caddie partnerships in recent memory.

Scott, known as 'Teddy' in the business, teamed up with Scheffler at what was a critical point in his career.

It was in November 2021 that the pair came together for a trial period at the RSM Classic. It wasn't too long after Scott split with Bubba Watson

Scheffler was still without a victory and was trying to stop people writing and saying about him: "The best player yet to have won."

They started out with a 63 and whilst Scheffler didn't win that week (Talor Gooch did), they forged an incredible partnership.

We don't need to remind you that Scheffler has now won five times, including the 2022 Masters. Scheffler has also spent 31 weeks as the World No.1.

It's not unreasonable to suggest the pair are very comfortable around each other.

Scott was filmed giving an incredible pep talk to Scheffler before the final round of the aforementioned Masters.

"I want you to remember two things today," Scott was filmed saying in the Netflix documentary Full Swing.

"One, you're not in unfamiliar territory. This is what you do and always have done. Just another day of golf.

"And number two, is that God is control of everything." Just superb stuff, that.

A further display of just how comfortable they have got in each other's company came during last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational

Scheffler was filmed in deep conversation with Scott before hitting an approach shot with a fairway wood on a par-5.

"I just feel like the great shot is in the bunker and if you barely miss it, perfect," explained Scott.

Then he lit rip.

No, not Scheffler with his approach.

Scott did.

This will never not be funny. Scott swiftly apologised to Scheffler after breaking wind, saying: "My bad there."

Amazing.

Scheffler was the defending champion at Bay Hill and put up an incredible effort in attempting to defend that title.

He eventually finished two strokes behind the champion Kurt Kitayama
