Golf fans are all too familiar just how vomit-inducing it is watching PGA Tour pro Will Zalatoris stand over a short one.

This clip just might be the craziest we have seen yet.

If you didn't know, 26-year-old Zalatoris is highly thought of and touted for superstardom.

He was consistently in the mix at the majors in 2022. Had it not been for the brilliance of Justin Thomas we'd be calling Zalatoris a major champion.

Zalatoris finally captured that elusive win at the FedEx St. Jude Championship last August.

Memorably, he drained a 10 foot putt at the 72nd hole in Memphis to get into a playoff with Sepp Straka and yelled: "What are they gonna say now!?"

Of course, that was a message to his critics. Although Zalatoris is an incredible ball striker, there's just something about the short putts.

It's just...incredible. We really are struggling to think of ways to describe this. That club path is all over the shop!

WATCH:

Zalatoris missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open, shooting 1-over in California.

What was remarkable was that he actually gained strokes on the field in putting when this footage was captured.

A selection of comments included:

"This makes me feel ill but is also proof that you can be truly awful at a part of something you are overall world class at."
"Sweet lord"
"This hurts my head"
"So unbelievably bad"
"Scares me every time"
"It went in didn't it"
"Surely under pressure this is going to break down"
"The worst thing you can watch right before bed. Will Zalatoris' putting stroke."
"He's just making the shape of a 'Z' for his name. It’s a trademark thing, building his brand. C'mon guys."
"He'd win every major if he didn't putt like this."
"The fact that he can get the ball into the hole at all doing this is nothing short of a miracle."

Injury struggles for Zalatoris...

Zalatoris was forced to withdraw during the third round of the BMW Championship last August with a back injury.

He later confirmed he suffered two herniated discs which kept him out of action for four months.

Zalatoris became a married man in his time away. He got hitched to Caitlin Sellers last December.
