Watch: Jon Rahm boots microphone after wild drive at LIV Golf UK
Jon Rahm is facing calls to be fined over an angry outburst of anger during the most recent LIV Golf League event in Staffordshire at the JCB Golf & Country Club.
Jon Rahm is facing calls to be fined for an outburst of anger during LIV Golf's event last week in Staffordshire.
Rahm has never denied he struggles to keep his emotions in check when competing at the very highest level.
But his temper got the better of him once again at JCB Golf & Country Club.
Rahm hit a loose drive on the seventh hole and was so disgusted by what he witnessed he decided to kick a microphone that was placed on the tee box.
The footage was captured by @aidenward1998 which shows Rahm trying to gather his thoughts before taking his right boot to the hot mic after he's told: "Chin up Jon, son!"
It is the latest incident involving the former Masters champion and, unsurprisingly, was widely debated on social media.
Rahm reacted angrily to a spectator whistling during The Open Championship two weeks ago at Royal Portrush.
Although he later admitted he wasn't as distracted as he initially let on. "I know they're not doing it on purpose," he said.
It should be noted Rahm isn't the only high-profile professional golfer guilty of such behaviour in 2025.
Wyndham Clark drew plenty of criticism after he decided to throw his driver into a sign during the PGA Championship.
Clark apologised for his behaviour, but only a month later damaged the locker room at Oakmont after missing the cut at the US Open and is now banned from the venue.
A furious Shane Lowry and Tyrrell Hatton came under the microscope for their behaviour at the aforementioned PGA Championship.
Lowry slammed his club into the ground and loudly swore about 'this place' after he was denied relief when his golf ball appeared to be embedded on the eighth hole.
He flipped his middle finger at the hole as he tapped in for a bogey.
Hatton could also be heard swearing at the face of his driver. When asked if he used the C word, Hatton said he was good at saying the wrong thing. "I'll just leave it at that," he said.
Masters champion Rory McIlroy also ruffled some feathers for smashing a tee box marker with his driver during the US Open at Oakmont.

"This is such childish behaviour," one X user said.
Another added: "These pro golfers need a reality check.
"The tantrums over the last eight months have been ridiculous.
"And it's not just Rahm/LIV guys. See Wyndham Clark, Lowry, Rory, the list goes on. "Grow the game" they say, then act more immature than my two-year-old son."
LIV do have a code of conduct their players must adhere to, covering gambling, doping and on-course behaviour.
Details of the code of conduct were revealed during the legal battle between LIV's financiers and the PGA Tour in 2022.
Court docs revealed LIV players receive written notices of any violation, along with any supporting evidence and their sanctions.
Players have 10 days to submit a written explanation and any mitigating factors.
Fines range between $1,000-$50,000, according to ESPN.
Former US Open champion Graeme McDowell was the first LIV player to be fined and suspended by the breakaway tour after breaching their anti-doping procedures.
Last August, McDowell was fined $125,000 and banned for one event for using Vicks nasal spray to assist with cold symptoms.
