Which LIV Golf players are in danger of being relegated in 2025?

Take a look at which LIV Golf League players are facing relegation as the PIF-backed breakaway nears the conclusion of its third full season.

The PIF-backed LIV Golf is nearing the end of its third full season.

Only two events remain on the breakaway tour's 2025 schedule and several players are facing the boot.

At the end of the season, only the top 24 players in the individual standings are guaranteed their spots for next year.

Players who finish between 25th and 48th are safe too, but they are in the 'Open Zone'. That means they can be re-signed by their teams or traded to others.

Golfers who finish 49th and below in the standings are relegated.

Given that LIV appear increasingly confident of securing OWGR accreditation before their next campaign, it could mean players that are relegated do in fact have no chance of returning.

Branden Grace was relegated last year and despite coming up short of earning his spot back on the league via their Promotions event, the South African was still re-signed by Stinger.

Which players are facing relegation from LIV Golf?

Ian Poulter

The Englishman is undoubtedly the biggest name facing relegation.

Poulter is currently 51st in the standings and needs two big results to ensure he'll be able to play for the Majesticks again in 2026.

The former European Ryder Cup star has picked up just 4.5 points all season.

Pat Perez survived relegation last year with 7.76 points so theoretically Poulter could escape the drop with two top-24 finishes in Indianapolis and Chicago.

Henrik Stenson

Like Poulter, the Swede has struggled considerably in 2025, picking up a mere 5.52 points.

His best finish all season came arrived in Adelaide where he shared 12th place.

Stenson also only teed it up in one major this year, at The Open, and finished T45.

Anthony Kim

Former PGA Tour pro Kim was signed as a wildcard on a two-year contract in 2024.

Even though Kim finished in the Drop Zone last season, the American was exempt from relegation.

Whilst Kim has worked hard off the course to try and improve his results, the golfer is staring down the barrel of relegation.

Time to admit the Anthony Kim experiment failed.

Andy Ogletree

The former US Amateur champion played in the very first LIV Golf event at Centurion Club in June 2022 and was widely ridiculed for his dismal performance.

He got himself banned on the PGA Tour, as well, despite never holding membership.

Still, he worked his way back to LIV via the International Series' order of merit and was snapped up by Phil Mickelson's HyFlyers.

Ogletree will be frustrated that his time with LIV could be coming to an end.

Frederik Kjettrup

Signed by Martin Kaymer's Cleeks, the young Dane has failed to register a single point all season long.

Mito Pereira

The Chilean, a teammate of individual points leader Joaquin Niemann, looks like he could be one of the latest casualties.

Put simply, Pereira has not performed at all and looks set to be relegated.

"I feel like everybody is going through up and downs," Niemann said recently when asked about the prospect of losing his teammate.

"It's just another moment for Mito. I feel like he’s going to be fine.

"He's a great player, great human being. Yeah, he's going to be fine."
