Masters website refresh sparks wild speculation that Tiger Woods is playing at Augusta
Augusta National website hints Tiger Woods may return for 27th Masters start.
Could Tiger Woods be on the verge of a stunning comeback return at The Masters?
A bold refresh on the official Masters website this weekend has hinted it could very well be on the cards.
Woods' biography on The Masters website now reads: “Tiger Woods is making his 27th Masters start in 2026.”

Another interesting observation is that Woods isn’t on the “Past Champions Not Playing” list. Instead, Woods is listed among the active 2026 field.
Cue instant speculation that the 50-year-old legend could be on the verge of making up The Masters field from 9-12 April.
Woods hasn’t played a competitive Tour event since missing the cut at The Open at Royal Troon in July 2024.
The former World No.1 last month left the door open for a return at Augusta.
He told the media during his hosting of the Genesis Invitational that it wasn’t off the table for him to tee it up in the first round of The Masters on Thursday 9 April.
It’s been a tough road back for Woods.
October 2025 saw him undergo the seventh back surgery of his career.
That came six months after an operation for a ruptured left Achilles tendon.
While Woods has openly told the media he can still hit all the shots out there on the course, walking 72 holes remains difficult for him.
Still, fans are now hopeful of a return.
Woods is definitely confirmed to attend the Masters Champions Dinner on Tuesday 7 April, hosted by defending champion Rory McIlroy who unveiled his menu earlier this week.

Woods’ Masters record is legendary.
He has won the tournament five times (1997, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2019), secured low amateur honours (1995) and made a record 24 consecutive cuts (achieved in his last start in 2024).
Woods is also one three players to win The Masters at least four times alongside Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer.
Woods was last seen in public at TGL on Tuesday night.
He was once again managing his Jupiter Links team, this time watching them beat McIlroy’s Boston Common to reach the league finals.
On his readiness to return to the fairways, Woods told ESPN: “Sometimes I have good days, sometimes I have bad days.”
But do those at Augusta National know something the rest of us don't with just two weeks to go until Masters week?
We'll find out very soon.
