It might not be the most adventurous outright pick you have ever seen, but I have genuinely never been more confident in tipping the winner of the U.S. Open than this week.
Scottie Scheffler will not just win the U.S. Open this week to move within one leg of the career grand slam, but he will run away with it.
The dominant World No.1 has his ball on a piece of string once again following three victories in his last four starts on the PGA Tour.
What I love about Scheffler's performances at the minute is that he's not just stumbling home for victories, he's destroying fields.
Yes, life has been made easier for him in recent seasons as a result of DeChambeau, Rahm and Koepka joining LIV Golf, but I am still of the mindset that Scheffler would still be cleaning up if they were still on the PGA Tour.
Scheffler is available at pre-tournament odds of 11/4 (+275) across the board, which yes, is very skinny for a U.S. Open test where one hole could easily send you packing this week.
These betting odds on Scheffler are also the lowest any player has been before the start of a major since Tiger Woods in 2009.
The rough is up and the greens are going to be running up to 15 on the stimp, but I think that only goes to play in Scheffler's favour.
The harder and tougher it gets, the stronger his chances are because of just how in control he is from tee to green right now.
Scheffler ranks first in strokes-gained total (2.687), strokes-gained off the tee (0.776) and strokes-gained approach to green (1.342) on the PGA Tour so far this season - all statistics that will come into play at a brutal test that is 10-time record U.S. Open venue Oakmont.
As for his closest rivals in the betting market ahead of the first round, I have huge question marks over McIlroy's game at the moment, so I am going to put a line through his chances, especially as he continues to mess around with the top end of his bag.
I could be wrong, but you can't be doing that with just a few days to go ahead of a U.S. Open.
McIlroy also missed the cut on a shocking 9-over par at last week's RBC Canadian Open.
Defending champion DeChambeau could prove a big danger to all, especially since he's won two of these now, but he raised concerns about his driver in Virginia over the weekend and he won't get away with errant tee shots here.
I think even if Scheffler brings his B-game to the U.S. Open then it's game over for the others. If he brings his A-game then we could be looking at yet another runaway victory, just as we've seen recently on the PGA Tour.
The bookies certainly think so, with one firm indicating Scheffler is the most-bet player by total wagers (18%) and total money wagered (31%) ahead of the U.S. Open getting underway this Thursday. I'm joining the party too.
None of us will get rich backing Scheffler this week, but I do think it's the prudent play.
Right, let's check out my two each-way picks...
Each-Way Value Pick:
Best Price Available:
66/1 - Bet 365 - (1/5, 1-8)
Last 5 starts on PGA Tour:
5, 30, 19, 12, 2
Last 5 starts at U.S. Open:
41, MC, 27, 32, 9
My first each-way pick for the U.S. Open comes in the shape of Scheffler's best pal Sam Burns.
Burns was extremely unfortunate to miss out on a sixth career PGA Tour title and first in 27 months on Sunday.
The American was denied in extra holes by an in-form Ryan Fox, who saw out his second career win on the circuit in his last four starts.
Burns had a four-footer to win on the first playoff hole but missed.
He then three-putted the fourth playoff hole to hand the tournament to Fox.
But I loved the way Burns went about his business in Sunday's final round with a blistering 8-under 62, the second lowest round of his PGA Tour career.
Burns ranks first in strokes-gained putting (1.056) on the PGA Tour so far this season.
The rest of his game is getting there too, with four top 20 finishes in his last five starts.
Burns has not enjoyed a great deal of success in the majors with just one career top-10 finish.
Thankfully though, that came in last year's U.S. Open, so Burns has proven he likes it when conditions get firm and fast like this week.
It's a long shot for Burns to win a first major this week, but I do think he represents decent value for an in-form player right now.
Bet365 and other firms are going eight places at odds of 66/1 for Burns, so you're looking at around a 13/1 shot if he can hit the frame.
SkyBet is going 45/1 and 12 places for Burns, if you want to give yourself a bit more room.
Each-Way Value Pick:

Cameron Young is going to win soon, isn't he? So why not make it a big one?!
Young has hit the bar seven times with runner-up finishes on the PGA Tour, but he is still somehow searching for an elusive win.
The big-hitting American came close once again on Sunday with at T4 in Canada.
He just needed to make a birdie on the par-5 18th to force extra holes with Burns and Fox.
But he sailed his 3-wood over the back of the green, much to his disbelief from 260 yards into the wind, and went on to record a bogey.
Young was fuming and told reporters he needed about 15 minutes to get over his final hole before dusting himself down to fully focus on preparing for the U.S. Open.
Although it would be a surprise to see Young finally get his first win at this week's U.S. Open, he has proven in recent seasons that he is not afraid of the big stage with five top-10 finishes in his last 13 major starts.
Young admitted on Sunday to driving the ball better than he ever has before, and that will stand him in good stead at Oakmont where the rough will be up incredibly high throughout.
He's also one of the longest drivers in the game, so if he can sync it all up together this week he could be a serious dark horse.
Putting has held Young back for a while if truth be told, but the flatstick very much looks like it's starting to warm up for him.
Young ranks 16th in strokes-gained putting (0.434) so far this season, a huge improvement on his rank of 145th last season.
At 100/1, I think Young looks fantastic each-way value at the U.S. Open.
