New clip of Scottie Scheffler's family melts hearts
Footage has emerged of Scottie Scheffler's family showing their delight at Bennett apparently taking his first steps at Quail Hollow Club.
It was some weekend for Scottie Scheffler.
The 28-year-old American emphatically reminded everyone why he is the best golfer on the planet with his third major title.
Scheffler's victory at the 2025 PGA Championship means the golfer has now completed half of the career grand slam.
Should he win the U.S. Open and The Open later this summer he would become only the seventh player in history to win all four major championships.
Scheffler will likely tell you the best part of lifting the Wanamaker Trophy for the first time on Sunday was sharing the moment with his family.
After he tapped in for bogey at Quail Hollow's 18th to seal a five-shot win, Scheffler was in tears as he embraced his wife Meredith and parents Scott and Diane.
Hot mics picked up his Scott telling his son: "Words can't describe what we just watched.
"You are the toughest guy and the sweetest boy. I'm so proud of you. Thank you for never giving up, Scottie. I'm so proud."
Then Scheffler scooped up his one-year-old son Bennett before heading to scoring.
Scheffler had to hand back his toddler for the trophy ceremony and it appears one of the best moments may have been missed.
Until now.
Footage has now emerged of Bennett learning how to stand properly and take his first steps on the 18th green.
Spectrum News reporter Mike Solarte caught the moment and later posted it on X.
"Mom's reaction is so pure," he wrote. "Just adorable."

Lost in the shuffle of Scottie Scheffler winning the @PGAChampionship I failed to post this moment of Bennett Scheffler standing for the first time (I think). Mom's reaction is so pure. Just adorable. #PGAChampionship #Scheffler pic.twitter.com/eFD69Wu1i6
