Golf fans shocked by what Patrick Reed did to a local caddie at US Open…

LIV Golf's Patrick Reed reportedly gave a local caddie a $7,500 tip after being so impressed with the information he received at Los Angeles Country Club, scene of this week's US Open

It will be interesting to see if Reed decides to share such a story with Matt Kuchar when the Americans join Si Woo Kim for the opening two rounds of the third major of the year.

For those none the wiser, we'll just leave this one here

Reed, 32, apparently headed to LA Country Club at the start of the month to get his first taste of the course ahead of the US Open.

According to a tweet posted by the popular Flushing It account, Reed played a round of 18 holes and hired a local caddie.

Reed left the course with a lighter wallet, but plenty of helpful information to take into this week's championship.

"Patrick Reed came to LACC a couple of weeks ago to get an early look at the course and hired a local caddy for his round," tweeted Flushing It.

"He was so impressed with the information he received, that he tipped the caddy $7500!! Fair play!"

Although Reed has yet to win on Tour this season, he has performed well in the first two majors of the season with a tied fourth at The Masters followed by a tie for 18th at the US PGA Championship.
