PGA Tour players are seen as role models and many young fans look up to their favourite golfers as heroes. This was certainly the case for young Abby when she met two-time major champion Collin Morikawa.

Morikawa was playing at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans alongside Viktor Hovland at TPC Louisiana, but he took some time away from the tournament to play with this young, competitive golfer.

Abby was starstruck when the 25-year-old turned up at the tee box. But once the buzz of meeting one of the best players in the world was gone, she was in match play mode.

"I think I'm going to beat you," Abby said. This was one of many fantastic one-liners that the impressive young player came out with in Avondale.

"It's cool because I saw myself in her in a sense of just being the most competitive person in the world. She knew who I was and she immediately wanted to beat me," said Morikawa.

Throughout their game, Morikawa helped Abby hit her shots and line up her driver. However, Abby continued the sledging and spoke a great game.

"I'm definitely going to beat you," Abby said. Morikawa asked why she was so confident, to which she responded, "I'm just better."

Morikawa, who came tied 29th at the event with Hovland, offered to caddie for Abby and put her clubs away into her bag, but the young girl took control and drove their cart down each hole.

"You don't even have to do anything - you don't even have to put your clubs away," Abby said about the five-time PGA Tour winner when he is playing in competitions.

He certainly had his work cut out when playing against the youthful, fiery golfer who was also an expert in trash talk. Maybe she is preparing to play in the Solheim Cup one day?

At the end of their round, Morikawa signed a glove for Abby and she had lived her dream, and the dream of many other people, of playing alongside one of her heroes.
