PGA Tour winner Sahith Theegala has confirmed his engagement to Julianna "Juju" Chan.
PGA Tour winner Sahith Theegala has confirmed his engagement to Julianna "Juju" Chan.
Julianna confirmed the happy news on Sunday by posting an array of snaps to her personal Instagram page.
It looks like the 27-year-old golfer got down on one knee in Hawaii to pop the question.
"The love of my life," Julianna tagged the posts.
Matthew Fitzpatrick's wife Katherine and fellow PGA Tour member Akshay Bhatia - who also recently got engaged to his long-term girlfriend Presleigh Shultz - were among those to pass on their congratulations.
Who is Sahith Theegala?
Theegala arrived on the pro scene in 2020 after a decorated college career at Pepperdine.
It was at college where he met Julianna.
Theegala's rookie year on the PGA Tour, in 2022, was a mixture of confidence-boosting results and frustration.
He posted a number of top-10 finishes and was unfortunate not to grab his first win at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale.
A cruel bounce on the penultimate hole of the tournament handed the initiative to Scottie Scheffler, who finally broke through with his first big win.
Theegala was reduced to tears but earned a number of fans that week.

His first win arrived at the 2023 Fortinet Championship.
Known for his laid-back demeanour, Theegala was also praised for calling a penalty on himself during the 2024 Tour Championship at East Lake.
He believed his club had brushed the sand as he played a bunker shot - resulting in a two-shot penalty.
Video footage did not appear conclusive but Theegala earned praise for behaving with integrity.
Theegala has struggled with injuries this season. He is now ranked 85th in the OWGR.
