Welcome to my latest golf betting tips feature for GolfMagic as we head into this week's final $20m Signature Event of the PGA Tour season at the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands.
While it was disappointing to see my outright win pick Scottie Scheffler (3/1) come up shy with a T7 at last week's US Open, I was pleased to recover things by landing you some decent place money with both Sam Burns (66/1) and Cameron Young (100/1).
Burns looked a good thing all weekend and he headed into Sunday's wet and wild back nine with a two-shot lead at one stage.
But sadly a rain delay followed by a sloppy run of bogeys and a hugely controversial decision when a USGA rules official denied him relief for casual water in the 15th fairway scuppered our chances of a big pay day.
Nevertheless, Burns still chalked up a T7 for us and so we collected a nice bit of each-way money with plenty of bookmakers out there going top eight places at the US Open.
And then as a nice bonus on top of that, my second each-way pick Young - at triple-figure odds - backdoored a T4 finish for us.
So we picked up a nice bit of profit in the end, despite Scheffler failing to deliver the goods.
But that's all in the past now and I'm intent on finding you more winning golf betting tips at this week's final Signature Event of the PGA Tour season in Connecticut.
And yes, Rory McIlroy has kindly decided to show his face at this one...
Not to be with my outright pick but a nice bit of each-way money with my other two tips @GolfMagic

We'll take it. Onto the Travelers now.https://t.co/9KZ066LkN8
The Travelers Championship is a limited 72-player field with no cut, and Scheffler bids to become the first player to successfully defend the title since Phil Mickelson in 2002.
Once again, I'm going to give you one outright pick at short odds and two each-way plays to give you some value for your money.
I have also listed the full betting odds of all the players starting out the Travelers Championship at the bottom of this article.
As always, please gamble responsibly.
Right, let's give you my three picks...

4 - 1 - 7
Last 3 starts at Travelers Championship:

I'm sorry ladies and gents, but I'm going to roll the dice again with Mr Scheffler this week.
I just can't get away from his consistency.
Even when he plays badly by his own high standards, he's still there towards the top of the leaderboard.
Unfortunately he brought his D-game to the US Open but still ended the week T7.
Scheffler holed absolutely zilch at Oakmont.
If he had just tidied up his putting and converted a number of those clutch five to six footers then he would have easily won a fourth major title and a first US Open.
So many putts lipped out, too.
Another slight concern was Scheffler was pulling a lot of his iron shots to the left.
I've not seen that for a while to be fair.
So yes, Scheffler's dismal performance on the greens and some indifferent iron play does concern me a bit heading to TPC River Highlands this week, a course that lends itself to low scores, but I think he will have sorted that out come Thursday’s first round.
I also can't get away from Scheffler's recent record at the Travelers Championship, especially the last three years where he has finished 13th, fourth and first last season.
There are few venues in the world that Scheffler doesn't enjoy, but TPC River Highlands is a course that fits his eye.
Yes, 3/1 is of course very short again, but I think getting the same price for the runaway World No.1 this week as you could at last week's US Open is pretty decent in all honesty, especially on an easier golf course and with obviously no LIV Golf players to contend with this time.
McIlroy, at odds of 11/1, will be a threat to all if he turns up and fancies it, but I do question whether he really wants to be out there.
The Northern Irishman did finish with a joint best of the day 67 alongside Jon Rahm in the final round of the US Open, but I'm just not quite sure it's all there for him over 72 holes.
I'm keeping the faith in Scottie at the Travelers, and I think you should too...

Each-Way Value Pick:
Best Price Available:
40/1 - Sky Bet (1/5, 1-6)
Last 3 starts on PGA Tour:
MC - 5 -10
Last 3 starts at Travelers Championship:
48 - 19 - 19
Russell Henley is trending for another win, and I very much liked what I saw last week.
Henley finished a steady T10 at the US Open and the result nudged him up to a career-best sixth in the Official World Golf Rankings.
What I loved most from Henley, and in stark contrast to Scheffler, was that he putted so much better at the US Open.
Honestly, if Scheffler had Henley's putting stroke, he would win by 10 shots every week.
Putting will be crucial at TPC River Highlands where making plenty of birdies will be the order of each round. Last year, 22-under par got you into a playoff. The winning total was 23-under in 2023 and 19 under in 2022. Every year, TPC River Highlands is a birdie fest.
So yes, Henley is rolling his rock nicely heading to Connecticut and I'm more than prepared to take a bit of the 40/1 on offer for him this week.
I think that looks huge, especially if you can get 1/5 six places with some firms like Sky Bet.
I could be wrong but Henley strikes me as someone who is slowly finding the form that propelled him to a fifth PGA Tour title at the famous Arnold Palmer Invitational in March.
Another reason I like Henley's chances at the Travelers Championship is that this Pete Dye-designed course measures only 6,835 yards, which by today's modern standards is a pitch and putt course. Of course, I jest, but Henley isn't a bomber is what I'm getting at and so TPC River Highlands should fit him down to the ground. This course places more of a premium on accuracy rather than brute power.
Henley looks a great bit of each-way value to me, especially off the back of consecutive top-10 finishes on two stern tests at the Memorial Tournament (T5) and the US Open (T10).
The American looks assured of a place in Keegan Bradley's Ryder Cup team this September, but he will no doubt be intent on adding a second PGA Tour title this season to officially punch his ticket to Bethpage.
I think he can achieve that this week.
Each-Way Value Pick:
Best Price Available:
50/1 - Betfred (1/4, 1-5)
Last 3 starts on PGA Tour:
25 - 4 - 4
Last 3 starts at Travelers Championship:
DNP - 60 - 9
Sorry to be a bit of bore, but I'm going to weigh in again with Mr Young, albeit at half the price he was before the US Open.
Without sounding like a broken record, Young is going to win soon, and I'm certain of it.
I honestly think when he wins his first title, it's going to open up the floodgates for him too.
You know what I also like? Young cares.
It shows me he is grinding like mad every single week out there to finally become a winner on the PGA Tour.
Young knows he's had the game to win both the RBC Canadian Open and even the US Open the last two weeks as well.
He has trudged off the back of the 18th green p****d in front of reporters the last two Sundays simply because he knows he is so close to that elusive first win.
I believe after back-to-back ties for fourth the past two weeks, Young is going to keep his foot on the accelerator at this week's Travelers.
I've also noticed Young is a bit of a streaky player in recent seasons, which is another reason I like his chances this week.
Young has not been at his best in the early stages of 2025 but I do think his game has turned a corner now.
I also like how he's speaking at the moment.
He said last week he is driving the ball better than ever and the putter is also warming up.
If truth be told, it's the flatstick that has held him back from entering the winners' circle.
Young incredibly has seven runner-up finishes to his name without victory on the PGA Tour.
I most certainly would not put it past Young to earn a debut in Bradley's US Ryder Cup team this September. He's 15th on the list right now.
But in order for that to happen he is going to need to remain on this current heater.
Young has only played in the Travelers twice before, but despite a lacklustre T60 in 2023 he finished a solid T9 in 2024.
The man is in form, no question about it, and he clearly liked what he saw at TPC River Highlands 12 months ago, so I'm prepared to play him again at healthy odds of 50/1.
Those are the best odds currently available with Betfred, albeit that's 1/4 odds first five places instead of 1/5 first six.
But shop around and see what you can find.
Similarly to Henley, I think Young represents fantastic each-way value on current form.
