Two-time PGA Tour winner Davis Riley has withdrawn ahead of the first round of the John Deere Classic.

Riley, 28, has pulled out of the tournament due to an undisclosed reason.

The World No.60 has been replaced in the field at TPC Deere Run by one-time PGA Tour winner Austin Cook.

Riley has endured a tough run of recent results but his best performance of the season was a belter with a T2 behind Scottie Scheffler at the US PGA in May.

That marked his best career finish in nine major appearances.

He is one of two players to so far withdraw from the latest PGA Tour event.

Vince Covello has also withdrawn ahead of the first round of the John Deere Classic.

Covello has been replaced by Scott Piercy, a four-time winner on the PGA Tour.

Ben Griffin heads the betting heading into Thursday's first round of the John Deere Classic.

Griffin is one of the most in-form players on the circuit right now having won twice this season.

He's also registered an impressive eight consecutive top-15 finishes on the PGA Tour.

Other players in the field this week include Jason Day, Chris Kirk, Michael Thorbjornsen and last week's winner Aldrich Potgieter.
