Viktor Hovland battled through a final-round duel with Xander Schauffele to secure his second win in two weeks and his first-ever FedExCup, which comes with a rather handsome winner's cheque worth $18 million.
Leading on the final day by six shots, Hovland was made to work hard for his sixth PGA Tour victory, with Schauffele managing to cut his lead in half at certain points during the fourth round.
However, the American's efforts weren't enough, with the popular Norwegian demonstrating elite composure, carding seven birdies to shoot a commanding 63 on route to victory.
Hovland's win makes him the third-youngest champion in FedExCup history and boosts his 2023 PGA Tour earnings to a staggering $26.6 million.
After a strong four under 66 in round three, Hovland picked up where he left off, carding four birdies in the first six holes on Sunday.
He then managed to keep the ship steady through the middle of his round without dropping a shot before dashing any chances the chasing pack had of catching him with three birdies on the final three holes.

All parts of his game were in fine form throughout the week, but his PING PLD DS 72 prototype putter was particularly hot on day four, helping him to gain +3.20 strokes on the field.
After a lengthy birdie putt on the first hole that set the tone for the remainder of the round, Hovland could barely miss with the flat stick, holing a number of clutch birdie and par putts to keep the competition at bay.

One of Team Europe's shining lights, Hovland's attention will now turn to the Ryder Cup, with the Norwegian hoping to claim his first victory in the historic team competition.
After a disappointing loss at Whistling Straights in 2021, Hovland will be hoping to continue his fine PGA Tour form onto the fairways of Italy's Macro Simone Course and win back the coveted trophy for Team Europe.
