Split the G in style with the TravisMathew x Guinness golf shoe collab

It's a fact universally recognised in the GolfMagic office that there are few things in life more pure and simple than a well-poured Guinness enjoyed at the 19th. 

And with The Open just a week away and the golf world's attention focused once again on the Emerald Isle, the idea of taking in the week's action with a cold class of the famous stout in hand is getting all the more exciting.

Recognising this fact, TravisMathew have struck up a timely collaboration with the makers behind Ireland's most iconic drop to celebrate the nation's contribution to golf culture, along with timeless craftsmanship, and of course the unmatched joy of a post-round pint.

The collaboration uses TravisMathew's ever-popular Pro Hybrid Plus golf shoe as its base: a timeless spikeless option with a smart leather upper and engineered cushioning for endless comfort both on the course and in the clubhouse. 

The upper is finished in a deep, dark brown inspired by Guinness's famous hue, offset by an off-white midsole and a touch of classic gold Guinness branding. Even the outsole is playfully shaded to resemble a freshly-poured point as it settles in the glass.

Solidifying the collab's status as a true collectors' item, the collab comes packaged in a special shoebox with a lining that borrows classic Guinness insignia from across the ages. This runs through into a bespoke Odyssey putter cover that comes complimentary with every pair.

In a nod to Guinness's founding year, the collaboration will be limited to just 1,759 pairs, which given the hype around all things Irish as Open week gets underway, likely won't last long.

Priced at £180 per pair, the TravisMathew x Guinness Daily Pro Hybrid Plus Golf Shoe will be available at 4pm on July 15 through TravisMathew's website.
