Golfer skips fence, grabs lost ball and SOMERSAULTS to safety as dog chases him

How far would you go to retrieve a brand new ProV1?

It appears this man will gladly hop over a fence and risk getting absolutely torn to shreds by a rabid dog who is foaming at the mouth. A video has gone viral on Instagram showing the moment this player has a showdown with the dog. The build up could have been from a spaghetti western.

We don't know much about our hero, just that his name is Nick. He's dressed in full golf gear and amps himself up for the moment where it's just him versus the dog. He manages to get to the ball first, so that's the first box ticked off. But can he manage to get to safety?

The answer? You betcha. And in style, too. He manages to run back towards the fence and somersault his way to safety, all the while that precious ProV1 is nestled somewhere safe. And what a landing it was, too. Dust flying up from the ground as he crashes to the earth with an almighty thud. It could have been in an action movie, this clip.

No, this is a movie this clip. It's a work of art. It should be submitted for an award. Hell, let's up make an award for this brave soul.

Of course, it's been viewed thousands of times already, and people have been quick to give the young man praise. Golf balls don't come cheap. Brave man, one person commented. What about the landing, another added.

Would you go as far as Nick to retrieve a lost ball?
