The ability to laugh at yourself is very important in the game of golf.
Bad shots will inevitably happen and as Tiger Woods says the best thing you can do at this point is just focus on the next one.
But in the amateur game that is very difficult to do if your chances to play are limited to perhaps one round a week.
It can be very frustrating when you duff, fat, thin or chunk a shot or even blade one from the sand onto the next tee box.
There have been many occasions where we have let our tempers get the better of us.
One player has shown a fantastic sense of humour by posting a picture of his clubs emerged in a pond for sale to Golf Equipment.
It looks like the game has taken its toll on the poor James Lovelock.
"Full Sim 2 golf set with Powakaddy. Cost me £4,600 plus one marriage. Bought it in May this year. FREE because F*** GOLF! Collection only from the lake on 18 at [redacted] Golf Club."
More than likely.
It's up for debate in the comments.
"Fake, but very nicely photoshopped," one user wrote.
While others added: "You can keep those iron headcovers" and "Wonder if he will deliver?"
Still, quite an humorous take from Mr Lovelock.
