Rory McIlroy schedule: When and where is Masters champion playing next?
Rory McIlroy 2025 schedule: Find out when the Northern Irishman will be playing next on the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and in the major championships.
Rory McIlroy is back in action this week at the Travelers Championship but plans to take a short break after the conclusion of the signature PGA Tour event to recharge his batteries.
McIlroy arrives at TPC River Highlands fresh off an interesting week at the US Open.
The Northern Irishman, 36, struggled for the second successive major championship in a row at Oakmont.
He looked visibly frustrated, dejected and flat on the golf course and later expressed his frustrations with the golf media.
After the major concluded, he conceded he was struggling to find motivation after climbing his Everest in April at The Masters.
"I think after you do something like that you've got to make your way back down and look for another mountain to climb," he said.
The 153rd Open Championship will undoubtedly be occupying McIlroy's full focus now.
McIlroy will use the Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club over 10-13 June as his final preparation before heading to Royal Portrush.
What else?
In August, McIlroy will compete in the PGA Tour's playoffs.
The format for the season finale at East Lake has been changed.
McIlroy has won the FedEx Cup a record three times.
Ryder Cup
In June, McIlroy became the first player to qualify for the European Ryder Cup team.
McIlroy, who has been part of five victories, will make his eighth appearance in the biennial showdown this September at Bethpage Black.
Rory McIlroy's season so far
McIlroy commenced his season, once again, in the Middle East.
He shared fourth place at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic in January before he made his way to the U.S. to compete on the PGA Tour.
His first victory of 2025 arrived at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. It was his 27th title on the North American circuit.
McIlroy then tied for 15th in the Genesis Invitational and shared 17th place at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Then he became a two-time winner of The Players Championship in March.
McIlroy told reporters that he was either going to play the Texas Children Houston's Open or Valero Texas Open before heading to Augusta National to try and win the green jacket.
He opted for to tee it up in the Texas Children's Houston Open where he finished in a share for fifth.
Two weeks later, McIlroy triumphed at Augusta to complete the career grand slam.
McIlroy did not play a professional golf event for two weeks as he celebrated fulfilling his childhood ambition.
He returned to action alongside his good friend Shane Lowry at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
The pair were defending champions at the PGA Tour's team event but they could only muster a T12 finish.
McIlroy then played in the Truist Championship before heading to Quail Hollow for the PGA Championship.
His performance at Quail Hollow was poor by his standards, with the golfer struggling to make the cut and a charge up the leaderboard.
McIlroy's week was overshadowed by news his driver was deemed non-conforming on the eve of the major.
He went on to finish in a tie for 47th place.
McIlroy arrived at the US Open intent on trying to find a spark in his game.
He drove the ball better and a final round of 67 lifted McIlroy to a top 20 finish.
